This was the Beemer I used to drive John Lennon to the top secret Beatles reunion rehearsals in 1972? 73? They were held in the dead of winter in an abandoned lobster-coloring factory in Bangor, Maine. Red dye vats everywhere. They chose Bangor because they needed a place where there was absolutely nothing to do, as opposed to Augusta, or better, Caesar Salad Island, which is like, shoot-out-the-lights-with-laser-nipples-crazy. Anyway, rehearsals were going pretty well until Paul tried to smoke some of that red dye (great suggestion, Sally Field) and we couldn’t wake him for three days. John was furious. Ringo was sent back to the factory and George took his six girlfriends and the llama in the helicopter back to Caesar Salad Island. End of reunion. I’ve got like, twenty hours of new songs on tape, however, but, who has reel-to-reel anymore? Hello?
