I’m in a foul mood and wearing judgey-pants today: That is the most rubbish headliner line-up I have ever seen. I have a theory that the only reason people like The Stone Roses is because that happened to be the music playing while they were E-blasted for the first time. Never has a band done so fucking little to deserve so much attention. Put it this way - you’re a fireman saving people in a blazing high rise and you can save either The Pixies or The Stone Roses. Who do you save? I’m laughing as I write the question.  Blur? This is not England. Blur is a lovely little group, also benefitting a bit from E-mania/Madchester/Go fuck yourself, tall, untalented, Gallagher brother - but I never knew a single soul here who was all BLURRRRR unless they were having a stroke. They headline over Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, and Lou Fucking Reed. Why? Because they took a longer flight? Phoenix? Weren’t they on the Lost In Translation soundtrack? Ah. I remember hearing they put out a good album? I remember none of it. Maybe it’s me.  Red Hot Chili Peppers. This is still a thing? I have BloodSugarHairGelCoconutSemen in my CD collection and it has not touched any player in my home since 1992.
